
Patrick Scott - FAA Designated Engineering Representative, Chart C2, systems and equipment, for Parts 23, 25, 27 & 29. Pat holds FAA, ATP and CFI certificates and has accumulated in excess of 10,000 hours of flight time over a period of 42 years. Education includes a BS in Electrical Engineering. Expertise includes 35 years in the aerospace industry covering general aviation, business & regional aviation, and airline systems. Pat served on the Aviation Rules and Advisory Committee responsible for the creation of the High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL) rules and advisory material and he has overseen several dozen HIRF and IEL testing and certification efforts. Pat also has extensive experience with all the versions of the Avionics Standard Communications Bus that was used on a number of business and regional jets. Pat's specialized and general avionics engineering and certification experience and knowledge, coupled with his intimate knowledge of the flight operations from the pilot's standpoint make him a valuable asset for engineering and certification support activities.
